The new season is here! My knees are much better. However, my left Achilles tendon is not in good condition. I decided to play anyway. It was okayish, but towards the end of the game, the pain kept getting worse. No surprise it ended up swollen.

I did a great regeneration after the match with Martin at EOS: swimming, hot SPA, and sauna!

The game was very early (8 AM). I woke up fine, but by the time I processed everything in the morning, I was late. When I arrived, I watched Sirocco miss the penalty kick. Luis (our goalie) made a great save. We were playing with only 10 players, so I jumped into the game right away.

In the first half, Max gave me a good pass on the left side, and I touched the crossbar with a left-footed shot. The same crossbar we hit two more times: Trent had a header, and Jason shot from long distance. Our goal was scored by Max after a pass from Jason. But we got two goals, so at halftime we were losing 1:2.

In the second half, Max gave a good middle height cross from the left side, and I nailed it into the goal from close distance - 2:2. Then he gave me another great pass into the box, but it was a bit far, so when I settled the ball, I was very close to the goalie. I was aiming for the near post, but the goalie deflected it. I returned Max's pass behind the defense, and one-on-one against the goalie, he only hit the goalie. We had a couple more chances. I even scored a header, but it was disallowed for offside. How it could have been offside when the ball came to me from their player is beyond my comprehension.

We were losing 3:2 in the end. Our strong effort and wide-open defense did not yield the tying goal. We received another goal instead. Anyway, I was happy it was over. My Achilles tendon hurts AF.
