Sunday Pickup Game (3:2)

Early morning (7:30 AM) Sunday pickup game

MMR fields are open, so we moved Sunday games here. The grass was freshly planted and watered, so the field looks very nice and green. I do not think I have ever seen MMR like this.

We actually played two games. The first one started with what seemed like an uneven split. They had Victor in the middle, but we had Michael and Scott in the defense. Our attack was good as well, so we beat them steadily. We won the first half 6:1, and I scored one goal when they gave me a bad clearance pass. I went with the ball all the way into an empty net. They were probably still asleep or what:)

Scott decided at halftime to reshuffle the teams, and we gave them Michael and some others. It looked better since then. I also played better because it was more combination play, not as individualistic as in the first half. Barry passed to me for the first goal and I aimed with my left foot from outside the box. Then we were actually losing 1:2, but Tony made a good run and served me a back pass in front of the goal, where I equalized to 2:2. We played for the winning goal. I ran through the entire field and could have gone all the way into the goal, but I cut past the last defender, passed to Rory, and he scored our winning goal.
