Wednesday evening pickup game (4:3)

Finally the victory! After two matches with ties (2:2 on 2026-02-11 and 7:7 on 2026-02-18), we finally won!

Since our season in Slovakia starts soon, wearing cleats is now a must. But I wore old 2022 Vapor cleats (gray), not the new black ones. I like the older ones better.

I was also trying a brace for my left patella tendon (Jumper's knee), but it did not help much. I eventually removed it during the game.

The whole day I was looking forward to this match. Despite yesterday's workout, I felt full of energy. When I got there and made first runs, I felt like my legs were light and movements easy. It was a great feeling.

I played for the black team with Zach, Steve, and others. This time, it was against Michael, Charlie, and Nico. As usual, our start was not good. We got an early goal, then another, and eventually the score settled at 1:3. I was running like crazy, I had my chances, but the goal was so small, and the goalie deflected everything.

I was patiently waiting, and my time came. After a very good pass from the guy with the long hair, I literally knocked down the whole small goal. It was a strong, powerful, and exactly on target shot. Then Zach made his solo, thanks to the space I created for him, tying the game at 3:3.

It was around 20-25 minutes until the end when I picked up the ball in defense and made a one-two with my teammate. The ball accidentally bounced between their two defenders, and I ran into this open defense and scored the winning goal from the post. The white team got so demoralized that they left the field, so the game was officially over:)
