New season at Drew's Place

My very first football after a very long time. Last time I played football was on 2025-11-02 (Trnovec league match) when I injured my right knee, probably a torn meniscus. So I took it easy and slow today.

Drew planted winter grass and watered it heavily. Also, a week of continuous rain helped. The result: the field looks splendid!

It was nice to see all the guys again. I was assigned to the black team and played with Drew and Alazar. We played the initial game until a third team formed and won that easily by several goals. Once a third team formed, we played the usual system: 10-minute game or if a team scores two goals, whatever came first. The winning team stays on the field (a tie favors the new team).

We lost only one game, but otherwise we were on a good streak. I scored a total of 4 goals, which was totally unexpected for me, as I was generally playing slowly and not running as much. But it was sufficient for this day. The first goal was from the side of the field to the empty net, a surprising shot. The second goal was a good backpass to me. Third goal, I caught their pass and scored with my left foot from the post. Important note: all my weight was on the right foot, and it withstood it! Last goal was a solo, which I pushed through the defender and goalie (brute force:)

In one match, I played with Trent. We were winning with my goal, but we got a goal in the last minute. There were only a few seconds left. Trent passed to me, I returned the pass, and he scored the goal in the very last second. Therefore, we stayed on the field and continued our strike :)

There were a few moments when my right knee got a sharp shock, but other than that, it was OK, and I did not get injured. I was happy that I accomplished my goal.
