Sunday Pickup Game (8:4)

Early morning (7:30 AM) Sunday pickup game

A lot of players showed up, but Scott was not one of them. So we did not have goals and had to improvise

At the beginning everyone was still asleep, so I won the ball in the middle, turned with it, went through the cones and smashed in a goal. I scored our second goal as well, even with a header, when John crossed it to me. I do not think he intended it that way, but that is how it turned out. Nico scored two goals which says a lot about their defense. I added a third goal, similar to the first one. John also scored a goal with some luck off the post. I assisted him. So it was 6:2 at the halftime.

During the break, I was wringing out my white cotton shirt from which a stream of sweat water was pouring. As is usual, in the second half the tempo dropped a bit. We conceded two goals, but also scored two. John scored one again and I added our last goal with my left foot. Then someone from their team left and when he went down, everyone else left as well. So I had to do a small cooldown run to have at least 8 kilometers logged.
