Description

Run to Thompson Peak

Elapsed Time: 1:00:13

First time I went over one hour. But I was expecting even worse. The beginning was quite hard. I could not catch my breath for the first few kilometers. The steep hills were mostly walked, with occasional running. Knees were doing okay (could be worse, so I am thankful).

Note

I was hesitating about whether to go for this hard run today. Both of my knees have problems, but avoiding high-intensity aerobic activities is not a good option either. What was holding me back was that, due to my knee injury in early November, I did not run for a few weeks, so I was out of shape when it came to running. But then I told myself it was going to be a good workout anyway, and at least I would know where I stood.

It was Sunday, so I met quite a few people (compared to previous runs). I met 6 people on the way up, including two I saw again on the way down. Then one cyclist and two more in the distance on the Dixie Mine trail.
