Pickup Game at Scottsdale Sports Complex

So many players signed up that we split into two small-goal games. Scott divided the teams into two groups: young guys and old guys. I played with the young group alongside Nico, against Chris, Erick, and Neo. Charlie went with the older players.

We started well, scoring the first lucky goal, but quickly fell behind 1:4, with Chris heavily involved in their goals. From that point, we were always chasing. My best moment came when I scored three straight goals (two of which were between Chris's legs) and assisted another, closing the gap to 8:10. Unfortunately, we conceded more goals afterward and never managed to tie the game.

I focused on short, explosive sprints, with a few full-length runs down the left side. One of those ended with me scoring, another with an assist. Those were promising bursts, but I still need to sharpen my speed. Toward the end, Nico even scored after my pass, although by then many players had eased off.
